My Creative Space

Painting plus a bit more painting is how the last week or two has rolled for me. No sewing machine in sight! We did a huge renovation on our house a few years ago and I madly painted all the interior walls at the time and didn't bother with the skirting boards, architraves, doors or windows. Now after too many years of them staring at me I figured it was time...................eek!!! It is such a massive job and as I'm working my way around I realise that it is going to take so much longer than I anticipated. There are so many tedious jobs to be done like filling nail holes and sanding, not my forte! I have painted in a few spiders webs and not sanded as well as I should but it will be an improvement.
In my excitement (that's a bit of an exaggeration)I have taken the white paint to just about everything in sight! I plan on painting all the dining chairs white as well as this great stool I picked up on the side of the road and a few frames... So, I am being a little creative!

Achievement award

My Little Miss Blondie was the happiest preppie ever last week when she discovered she would be the recipient of an Achievement Award. She has watched her big sister get a few awards over the years and was bursting at the seems with pride. Her award was for "Having a great go at spelling words". I couldn't be more proud especially when i saw her beaming smile as she stood in front of the whole school to receive her award.

Shadow Shot Sunday #2

My family and I spent the weekend camping in Anglesea with 4 other families and 14 children in total!!!! The weather was a little dodgy but a fantastic time was had by all with everyone keeping busy kayaking, surfing, tree climbing, scootering and a spot of relaxing.

I couldn't resist these shots of my kiddies getting ready for bed.

My Creative Space

Its been a busy week entertaining the munchkins for the first week of the school holidays. We have been busy doing loads of fun things. They particularly got a kick out of being my official photographers for a few shots of some new ladies skirts I've been working on. It was a little crazy as you might imagine with the 8, 5 and 3 year old all taking part with me being the model. Some turned out great.................some not so good!
I custom made this skirt for a lovely local lady but forgot to photograh it so this is mine.

The not so good shot! Blurry is not good, but that bad unwashed hair with obvious re-growth - what a shocker!!!
